When you have too much to do and too many people interfering with what you have to do, you tend to find yourself surrounded by chaos. It doesn't help when you have an imagination working overtime because you'll find it harder to perform mundane tasks like cleaning, organizing or even straightening. But you know, as wild and woolly as life may be, there is always a place where you can go to get away from it all.
Last week, I took a few moments to restore myself before returning to complete what I have to do. I cancelled my appointments, ignored all of my emails and messages, and went to a quiet spot to gather my thoughts and decided that it was necessary to take some time off for myself. I even bought myself a new book to read despite the pile of books I have untouched on my shelf. I have learnt that it is important to put yourself first in order to pull yourself together. Also, impromptu road trips will definitely help you declutter your mind. If you ever find yourself in a similar situation, I strongly suggest for you to go outside where you can hear the birds chirp and feel the breeze flow by. Go on and do whatever that makes you happy. Because I did and I am much much happier now.
